since the successful album "independent dancer" kalabrese has not only grown musically. we have known for a long time that his heart beats in the right place to the right, real beat. the successful album released in 2013 still resonates beautifully today. 8 years have passed since then. the deepness of "independent dancer" was danced over to this new album with ease. the new third album "let love rumpel" sounds in the best sense even more mature and hard to believe, even more real, even warmer, even closer to that unforgettable time. sure, the album is a bit less euphoric, but who wants to talk about this hopefully soon past time of euphoria? but you notice that under the surface, a diamond of international music creation is glowing, shining and slumbering, just waiting to blow away the boxes in the clubs of this world from the long overdue dust, this nevertheless very consuming pandemic, determined and incredibly groovy.

there are moments when kalabrese sounds as if he came directly from new orleans. dr. kalabrese, instead of dr. john. the spicy gumbo is here a meat cheese. a very deep stew of soul, horns, beats that make a journey to anywhere in the spirit, an easy one. this is just one example of how masterfully the artist in the summer of his life deals with what he has learned and the possible what is to come.
